it will not to do

anylonger

to defer, or deny

what cannot be stopped

what can only, multiply.

a sad rhyme

is not the same as a lonely one

a lonely rhyme is

not one at all

Mean

ugly-head.jpg
the stasis i can’t explain
the blaring, the drums
i hear everyday
seem to sound
like nothing
i’ve heard before
and
they eat into me
with their
clock-shaped pincers
a dull stab
a retching pain
stretching, searing
oh oh
its ugly head!
move back!
hearken its rearing!
make belief
make pretend
the loss of life,
love, a friend

Tickytacks

yes.jpg
do you need proof?
for your charades
your parades
you’re sillier
than a tomato
you wolfish,
tickled up
little anemone
there are haloes
around your ears
in the early morning
sunlight
if we lack the words
we’ll invent them

Slummertime

1456457749_cc52c5e0c7.jpg
the funniest things
fell about us
that summer day
and like leaves,
blankets over our thoughts
a sonorous invitation
a slumbering proposal
you fell too
and i tried
yearning, burning
turning, moulding myself
into whatever shape would
hold you
and you slipped
through the nets
of my desperation
drawn,
or maybe forced out
i will never know
the cut, the severation
the simple death in separation

Rain, and pants

the headlights

past your toes

the distance

under your eyes

the cloud floating in your head

the wetness in your bed
